Its transparent water and live fish species make this water body a natural aquarium as well as its surrounding landscape of Shillong massif and Garo-Khasia hills make a beautiful site to dissolve in nature to forget tiredness of busy life.

how to go Tanguar haor
this is not so easy task to visit Tanguar haor because it is a vast wetland whose communication system yet not developedso only true nature lover can take the venture to go there and get chance to enjoy the tranquil elegant of world heritage
One can start journey from Dhaka through Netrokona-Madhyanagarbazer-Dakkin bongshikunda-Tanguar haor or he can travel via Sylhet-Sunamganj-Tahirpur-Tanguarhaor
First one is time saving as it starts from Kamlapur Railway station by the Haor express train to Mohonganj and then from mohonganj he can go by motor bike or micro to Madhyanagarbazer and finally by boat or on foot x
Sometimes on foot pacing is essential if someone desire to access to the core of Tanguar haor
Whereas if anyone choose via Sunamganj of Sylhet he should travel by speedboat or engine boat from district town Sunamganj to Tahirpur through Surma river
and some small haors
Staying Night,hotel accommodation,dine-in,transport facilities are not yet well developed,these are completely private oriented
